It has finally come to end. HTI 2.
When i first started HTI last last year(year 1), i think that it is a useless module because i could not understand 80% of the things that were presented, including Plato, Vitruvius man and etc. Only after i wiki-ed them(i realised that Wikipedia provides dummy understandable explanations), did i found links with the topics. However, links towards designing were at a 5% level only.
This year is much more interesting than last year as we played some games rather than presentations all the time. Perhaps it's because this year was a much more flexible year as Mun Ying was having us as guinea pigs for the module. Also, the topics were explained with the use of many interesting videos(TED).
Semester 1 is whole lot of reading between the lines and relating, linking of ideas to one another. Semiotics, structualist, Metaphors, Memes, Temes, Tetrad. Temes was the most interesting topic to me as it provided a lot of thinking questions for me. A.I. and science.
We had a making of a Creativity game and it's...kind of...interesting perhaps? It is to create a game for brainstorming. My first thought was that creating a brainstorming game is quite a challenge as we have to brainstorm a brainstorming game? It definitely sounds weird. Well, my group had fun and laughter while creating it so its a new experience for us.
Semester 2 on the other hand, was a whole lot of jumbles ranging from psychology to beauty. It is a topic overflow for me. However, the presentations were presented in understandable languages hence i understand bits and pieces from the presentations. However, i felt that some topics were irrelevant but they were interesting in their very own aspects. I definitely gain new knowledge from these presentations.
Because i had these knowledge, i can express things in a different way and sometimes use these to irritate people who irritates me. Point 2 is just an extra.:)
